Job Purpose
Teach undergraduate Psychology courses within the School of Arts & Sciences as part of the General Education curriculum. The position supports AIU’s mission by providing high-impact instruction and fostering the intellectual and personal growth of students through engaging, inclusive, and student-centered teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Psychology within the General Education curriculum
- Prepare and deliver course materials and assignments aligned with curriculum standards
- Support student engagement and success both in and outside the classroom
- Utilize learning management systems and instructional technologies effectively
- Participate in periodic course assessment and program improvement activities
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Strong communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and student-centered pedagogy
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and language backgrounds
- Familiarity with instructional technologies and learning management systems
Education And Experience
- PhD degree in Psychology or a closely related field required
- Demonstrated university-level teaching experience required
- Experience working with English language learners preferred
- Experience delivering courses in classroom, hybrid, or online formats desirable
