We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable VAT Specialist to join our Accounting & Tax Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of VAT compliance , ensuring adherence to local NBR VAT laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate and timely VAT returns in accordance with Bahrain’s National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) regulations.
- Ensure all VAT-related documentation is properly maintained and archived as per legal requirements.
- Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure correct input and output tax treatment.
- Provide expert advice on the VAT implications of business transactions, contracts, and changes in operations.
- Interpret complex VAT legislation and offer clear, actionable guidance to internal stakeholders or clients.
- Advise on cross-border transactions, intra-GCC supplies, import/export VAT treatment, and reverse charge mechanisms
- Conduct periodic internal VAT reviews and assessments to ensure adherence to VAT regulations.
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- 3 or more years experience in NBR Tax handling and coordination
- Experience across diverse industries or a background in audit firms
Nice to have
- Proffessional qualifications such as ACCA
