Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cleaner/Nanny role based at BP PRESCHOOL in Isa Town. The Cleaner/Nanny is responsible for maintaining clean and hygienic classrooms, bathrooms, play areas, and common spaces, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and managing waste disposal. The role also involves supporting teachers with child supervision, assisting children with basic needs (such as toileting, handwashing, and snack time), and helping organize toys, learning materials, and play areas. The Cleaner/Nanny may assist with setting up and tidying after activities, ensuring safety guidelines are followed, and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. This position requires consistent punctuality, attention to detail, and a caring, patient approach when interacting with children.
Qualifications
– Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks safely and efficiently, including floor care, surface sanitizing, and bathroom maintenance.
– Experience working with young children in a school, daycare, or similar setting, with a warm and patient demeanor.
– Strong awareness of health, hygiene, and safety practices in environments serving children.
– Basic communication skills in English (and other local languages as applicable), with the ability to follow instructions and report issues clearly.
– Reliability, good time management, and the ability to work cooperatively with teachers and staff.
– Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift light loads, and move between classrooms and facilities throughout the day.
– Prior experience in cleaning or child care is preferred; formal training or certification in early childhood support or housekeeping is an advantage.
– Willingness to undergo any required background checks and adhere to the preschool’s child protection and safety policies.
