We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join a leading investment group. The role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
– Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end closing processes
– Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
– Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment-related transactions
– Monitor cash flow and support treasury operations
– Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
– Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in line with company policies
– Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing schedules and documentation
– Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
– Maintain proper financial records and documentation
– Assist in accounting and reporting of investment-related activities across entities
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within investment, financial services, or corporate environments
– Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
– Experience in reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting
– Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
– Bilingual: Arabic & English (written and spoken is required)
