We are seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel with at least 10 years of legal experience, advanced knowledge of Common Law principles, and solid practical experience within the UAE legal and regulatory environment, particularly in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and regulatory decisions.
• Handle legal matters relating to ADGM and DIFC, with a strong understanding of their respective legal and regulatory frameworks and procedures.
• Coordinate with external legal advisors when required, and manage legal matters and disputes.
Qualifications & Experience
• At least 10 years of legal experience, with a strong understanding of the laws and regulations applicable in the UAE.
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Law.
• Preferably a graduate of a UK university or holder of a legal qualification from the United Kingdom.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Common Law.
• Solid practical experience with ADGM and DIFC laws, regulations, and procedures. Preference will be given to candidates who are registered, licensed, or have previously practiced within ADGM or DIFC, or who have direct and demonstrable experience dealing with their relevant authorities, courts, and legal frameworks.
• Excellent drafting and contract review skills, particularly in English.
• Advanced professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong legal analytical skills, with the ability to assess legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
