We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Structural Engineer to join our consultancy team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in site supervision and structural consultancy within construction projects, particularly healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising structural works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements while supporting the successful delivery of projects within schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

– Supervise and monitor structural site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project standards.
– Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams throughout all project phases.
– Review and approve structural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
– Monitor structural construction activities, including reinforced concrete, steel structures, and related structural elements.
– Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and compliance with design requirements.
– Identify structural engineering issues on site and provide practical engineering solutions and recommendations.
– Ensure compliance with structural safety regulations, quality standards, and project schedules.
– Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and progress updates.
– Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to resolve design and construction conflicts.
– Participate in project meetings and provide technical support during construction and project close-out.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (Structural), or an equivalent qualification.
– Minimum 12 years of experience in structural engineering within construction projects.
– Previous consultant experience is mandatory.
– Healthcare project experience is mandatory.

Required Skills

– Extensive experience in structural site supervision and construction management.
– Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, and structural analysis.
– Thorough understanding of international structural design codes and construction standards.
– Experience reviewing structural shop drawings, calculations, and technical submittals.
– Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and technical reporting skills.
– Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
– Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
