Full-Stack Software Engineer — Ruby

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Autobia team. This role works across a Ruby on Rails codebase with a strong backend lean — most of your time on services, data, and integrations, while comfortably handling the front end when the feature needs it. This is high-volume money movement, processing thousands of BNPL and POS transactions, so correctness, reliability, and scale all matter.

Key Responsibilities:

– Build, ship, and operate Rails backend services and full-stack features.
– Own your work end to end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, production support.
– Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services.
– Write clear, maintainable code and contribute to the squad’s technical decisions. 

Qualifications:

– Mid–senior full-stack engineer, backend-strong, with solid Ruby on Rails experience.
– 3–5 years of professional full-stack experience.
– Strong fundamentals: API design, data modeling, relational databases, testing.
– Comfortable across the stack — can build and debug front-end features when needed.
– Proven with high-traffic, high-throughput systems — performance under load is part of the job.
– Ownership mindset: takes a problem from ambiguity to shipped and supported.

Nice to Have:

– Payments, BNPL, POS, or other money-movement / fintech experience.
– Experience operating high-reliability, correctness-critical systems.
– Knowing PostgreSQL is a plus.
– As a full-stack role, knowing React is a plus.
– Experience with GKE or AWS is a plus.
