Role Description The School Nurse role is a full-time, on-site position based at an international school in Doha, Qatar. The School Nurse will provide daily health services to students and staff, including assessing minor injuries and illnesses, administering medications, and responding to health-related emergencies in accordance with school policies. The role includes maintaining accurate health records, monitoring students with chronic conditions, and coordinating care plans with families and healthcare providers. The School Nurse will also support school-wide health initiatives, promote preventive health practices, and provide guidance on hygiene, nutrition, and wellness. Collaboration with school leadership and teachers to create a safe, healthy learning environment is a core aspect of this position.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in School Nursing and School Health, with the ability to manage student health needs in an educational setting.
- Strong Nursing and Medicine knowledge, including assessment, basic treatment, and emergency response skills.
- Experience or formal training in Pediatrics, with the ability to work effectively with children and adolescents.
- Valid nursing license or registration in home country, with eligibility to obtain relevant authorization in Qatar.
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric clinic, or similar environment is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, accurate documentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
