Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Coffee Master to join our team. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a deep knowledge of coffee, create new coffee trends, have strong barista skills, and the ability to educate customers and staff on coffee products and brewing techniques. This role combines hands-on preparation with customer engagement and product expertise.
Responsibilities
– Create, prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages using various brewing methods (espresso, pour-over, French press, etc.).
– Innovate and create new coffee mixes aligned with the target audience and guests.
– Educate customers and team members on coffee origins, flavor profiles, and brewing techniques.
– Maintain a research and development mindset to create signature items with great impact on guest trends and preferences.
– Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, accessories, and supplies.
– Assist in product selection and merchandising of coffee-related items.
– Conduct coffee tastings and training sessions for staff and customers.
– Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
– Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any product-related inquiries.
Requirements
– Minimum 7 years of experience in a barista or coffee-related role.
– Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, roasting processes, and brewing methods.
– Certification from the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) or equivalent is a plus.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
– Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
– Basic understanding of inventory and POS systems.
