Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial recording, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance with internal controls. The role will also support month-end and year-end closing, reviews financial transactions, and provides timely financial analysis to support management decision-making.
Role Responsibility
– Review and validate accounting entries, supplier invoices, customer transactions, payment vouchers, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved policies
– Supervise the recording of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and adjustment entries in the accounting system
– Lead monthly bank, supplier, customer, intercompany, POS, sales, and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely clearance of reconciling items
– Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including review of ledgers, closing schedules, provisions, accruals, and financial reports
– Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, schedules, and variance explanations for submission to the Direct Manager
– Monitor cash flow, receivables ageing, payable obligations, and payment priorities to support effective working capital management
– Ensure proper maintenance of fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and asset-related reconciliations
– Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to audit queries, and ensuring complete documentation and audit trails
– Review compliance with accounting standards, company policies, delegation of authority, and applicable statutory requirements
– Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and support automation or system enhancement initiatives within finance operations
Role Requirements
– Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing, and supervision or review of accounting activities
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field; professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred
– Good command of English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
– Prior experience in Food & Beverage industry
